White Christmas Trees Catch the Eye

White Christmas trees have always caused me to pause and admire, much like perfectly straight C9 Christmas lights outlining the rooftop of a beautiful home. The illumination that spreads throughout the room of a home decorated with a white Christmas tree is bright - almost glaring, like snow on a sunny day. I have a neighbor who places her white Christmas tree in her bay windows early in November, and I drive slowly past those windows for two solid months, simply admiring.

In honor of the many homes across the country that decorate a white Christmas tree, here are a few gorgeous pictures taken indoors:

Christmas Trees of 2009

Christmas trees are one of the main decorative staples of the holiday season. From novelty Charlie Brown trees to towering 14' elegant masterpieces, the Christmas trees displayed in homes across the world all represent the styles and meaning of Christmas to the families who decorate them. It is fun and intriguing to look at pictures of decorated Christmas trees that get posted across the Internet, and below are just a few of the images I found of Christmas trees 2009. Trees for this year are all tastefully decorated, from patriotic trees to bright trees with multicolor lights. It is hard to tell which trees are live and which are artificial prelit Christmas trees, but I feel safe saying the white trees are most likely not live!

Christmas Trees 2009This gorgeous tree appears to be a prelit tree. If the owners of this tree wrapped these lights themselves, they possess serious skills!

Christmas Trees 2009This white tree was decorated with a fun and bright red theme.

Christmas Trees 2009Traditionally looking tree that appears to have a slender profile. Warm colors in the room and a gold star make this a beauty for the holidays!

Christmas Trees 2009Trendy and unique tree with almost a round shape - worth passing this image along.

Christmas Trees 2009Flocked Christmas tree appears to be lit with either C7 or C9 multicolor bulbs. Beautiful. The larger bulbs truly make this tree appear to be covered in snow.

Christmas Trees 2009Another tree that appears to be a prelit artificial Christmas tree due to the fantastic lighting job, but the shape and color is very life-like, so it could also be a live tree.

Christmas Tree Memories

Christmas trees have come a long way over the past few decades. Memories of Christmas trees vary from person to person, but often contain images of small, wimpy artificial trees that seemed to get shorter each year, silver tinsel, thick colorful garland, and paper construction link chains. It is hard to believe that these trees of yesteryear were such sources of pride and festive cheer decades ago, but they were!

Today's artificial Christmas trees and live trees put those of past generations to shame. Live trees tower and are forced to get bigger and fuller each year, and artificial Christmas trees are more realistic and lifelike than ever before. Tinsel is almost a thing of the past, but tinsel trees are a modern twist. Upside down trees, Charlie Brown trees, colorful trees, and umbrella trees are all part of the current trend in Christmas trees. Live trees are getting pushed aside in favor of the allergy-friendly, flame-retardant PE/PVC trees with higher tip counts and longer warranties.

Below we honor the Christmas trees we found circa 1978-1983.

Take it back another decade:

A common theme for most of this time period appears to be silver.

Las Vegas Christmas Trees

Las Vegas, Nevada has always been known for its bright and vibrant casinos, hotels, and overall energy. Dubbed "Sin City", people flock from all over the globe to gamble at Caesars Palace and take in the gorgeous views of the Bellagio. While it needs no holiday to beckon its tourists, Vegas sure takes advantage of the fun that can be expressed through commercial Christmas decorations! Below are just some of the views of a Las Vegas Christmas.

The honor of decorating any of the famed casinos, hotels, or streets of Las Vegas is reserved for only the very best. To those who receive the honor we applaud your jobs well done. I know these trees make me want to spend the holidays resting my head on a soft pillow at the Bellagio after taking in the sights. Also pictured above are the trees at Caesars Palace and the Luxor. If you have any amazing Las Vegas images of Christmas trees to add, please do so.
